Some updates and results although these are only provision for the time being:
1st Jamie Messenger
13th Simon Twiss
17th Emma Casanova
20th Colin Hawke
There are also a couple of other Brit pilots competing, but I couldn't get their names and results before the pages were whisked off the board this morning. Ruth Churchill-Dower amongst one of those….
Due to the incident with a pilot (not one of our competitors) in the trees, the task was stopped at about 15h30pm. Not sure which scoring system they are using but there will no doubt be a shuffle of places before we are sure of results after the first task which should be given at about 11am.
We are now waiting for a rebriefing at 11am. There are nigh winds forecast this afternoon with stability in the valley. Predictions of 27km winds at 1500m this afternoon mean that we not be able to task.
Never mind, there is plenty to do here in Annecy, the lake at HQ is just but a stone's throw away, the water temperature warm enough to swim.
Last night there was a techno party at the Savoyarde HQ, this evening a Paella evening at 20h30.
The ambience is jovial with beer a-flow. Competitions for the best group of 3 photos, and the best video during the competition are in full swing.
Its all fun…….
